A double concerto in four movements based on a Sri Lankan folk melody composed by Pradeep Ratnayake and arranged by Patrick Zimmerli, with Pradeep Ratnayake (Sitar) and Ramon Jaffe (Cello) as soloists with the Neubrandenburg Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Stephan Malzew in Neubrandenburg, Germany in May 2010. Kuweni is the name of a princess from the legends of Sri Lanka. This is a rarely heard fusion of the East and the West, the Indian, Western and the Sri Lankan.
